The mysterious months

“Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see.”
— Edgar Allan Poe

It's been a few months since I updated you all on what's been happening in my art journey. I know this past period has been quite a mystery, but so much has been going on that it's been hard to keep up!

In the Studio

My fiancé and I recently had a serious car accident but thankfully are both okay. It was a really impactful experience, so I decided to draw it. I came up with a little headless boy driving his car while holding his head like a balloon. I enjoyed putting some light-hearted humour into the drawing.

I've also been keeping busy with my Patreon story about Poogy & Phoebe. It's a story about a little witch and her pet piglet. This was the first month little Poogy was introduced into the story. You can check out my patreon here.

Reflections & Inspirations

So much has happened in the past few months since I last shared an update! I've been so busy with creative projects and personal life. One of my goals has been to keep to a consistent work schedule and I've started achieving that more of late.

The biggest highlight of the past few months is my soulmate proposing to me! I was so excited! We'd been looking at rings together for a few months now and he finally found the right time to ask me. On World Goth Day, we went out for a picnic to one of our favourite spots where he pulled the ring out of a little nest. My ring has two little bats surrounding the centre diamond. We are both so excited for this period of our lives!

My livestream community has been nothing but overly generous lately! They paid for a brand new cage for my little parrot and muse, Zazu. It's changed his world! He loves his new palace.

I've been really inspired by my own community of late. I run a monthly art challenge on my Discord group where everyone joins in drawing a new prompt each month. It's a lot of fun and so motivating! You can join us here!

I also recently came across an amazing illustrator, Stella Bialek. She makes adorable, silly little creatures with googly eyes and fat, squishy bodies. Her art style is so soft and gentle. I love the emotion she pours into her characters. You can't help but fall in love with them!

I was so lucky to attend my friend Ivy-Lee Nugen's first live performance recently! She's an amazing musician with a beautiful voice and upbeat personality! She brought out her first single, "If I Fall". You can listen to it here on Spotify.

I've been reminiscing about what first got me into art. I believe it is my mother's love for art. She introduced me to various creative mediums at a young age. Till this day she is my biggest supporter! I have a question for you all. What first inspired you to get into art? I'd love if you could respond in the comments.

Events & Updates

I've been running monthly art challenges with my Twitch community on Discord. It's a great way to find inspiration among your fellow artists and become part of a creative community. If you're keen, feel free to join my Discord.
